H-42
H-42 was more than just a remodeling project; it was a distinctive architectural house requiring restoration with a long history that had been standing for almost three decades. The plan of the house was an absolute square making the planning for the interior fun and challenging. The owner, a bachelor with a penchant for entertainment and a preference for open spaces, had a clear vision. This vision was actualized by a redesign that enhanced the openness and welcoming nature of the space. The result was a vast, luminous area that offered views of the garden, thanks to the removal of traditional privacy and security concerns, permitted by the unique context of the Parsi colony. H-42’s design philosophy is firmly rooted in refreshing minimalism, characterized by a simple colour scheme dominated by pure white and the comforting tones of oak wood. The design approach prioritises simplicity and soft lines, resulting in an expertly executed fusion of neutral colours and modern design elements.
One of H-42’s standout features is its dining room, boasting two dining tables with marble tops and vintage oak wood chairs in a spacious, inviting setting. The kitchen was transformed into a modern space by eliminating the central partition, establishing an open atmosphere, and introducing a stylish island that not only enhances functionality but also serves as a modern centre piece.
