The Court House

The Court House was a meticulously planned project that was a part of a bigger structure. The court house was designed keeping in mind the client’s need for natural light all over the place. The interior is defined by straight lines and a muted palette in order to highlight the court house. This is how the constant play of inside vs outside can be felt in each corner through views leading up to the court house.

The project started when the property was just a gray structure. The court house on the first floor is the most distinctive feature of this space, allowing nature to take over even at a higher level. Saif’s idea deviated from the original design and featured a master bedroom with an open yet secluded atmosphere. This ground-breaking solution served as the impetus for using architecture to promote a sense of community.

The industrial and raw look is embraced by the court house’s design ethos. To highlight materials that provide a link with the natural environment, a simple color scheme is used. Teak wood adds coziness and refinement. The entrance gives the viewer an idea of what’s to come while simple concrete walls and hand-laid terrazzo gives the space a raw yet warm feel. A stylish men’s room is nearby for your convenience. The master bedroom, which includes an ensuite bathroom and a walk-in closet completes the place, is added to the central parlor, the home’s center point.
